I am delighted to be able to welcome you to our school website as the Headteacher of Signhills Infant Academy. As a former pupil, I am passionate about leading the school to ensure the children are given an excellent start to their educational journey, just as I received many years ago.

I have worked in education for almost twenty years and over this time I have developed a passion for teaching the youngest of learners. This has involved me delivering training to schools on what high quality education in the early years looks like. I strongly believe that getting it right in these early years is the key to future success. This means ensuring the highest standard of teaching and learning is achieved. 

At Signhills Infant Academy we ensure that all the children who attend are happy learners and are given the greatest of opportunities to be the best they can be both socially and academically. Happy learners leads to successful learners.

The needs of the children are always paramount in the life and decision making within a school. At Signhills Infant Academy we strongly believe in providing the children with meaningful learning experiences which build enthusiasm for learning and help our children to grow and develop in a variety of ways.

We also feel it is crucial to involve the children and their families as partners in their education and we are always looking to continue to build the school community. As key educators in your children’s lives, we feel it is important that you have a voice and that as a school we are approachable and allocate time to listen to your thoughts about the school.
